A figure of a sleeping borzoi after Paul Gayrard (1807-1855), incised GAYRARD to back, mounted on a portor marble base; together with a figure of a greyhound after Pierre Jules Mène (1810-1879), incised PJ MENE and with incised Susse Freres foundry mark, on a mottled brown marble base
overall height 3 1/2in (9cm); length 6 1/2in (16.5cm)

Condition
The Gayrard with a dark brown patina overall. Minimal highlights. Marble base carved and finished unevenly. Mene with a reddish brown patina overall. Typical rubbing and light wear to both.
