A custom painted set of Premier Resonator drums consisting of a 15-inch x 22-inch kick drum, a 14 1/2-inch x 16-inch floor tom, a 9 1/2-inch x 12-inch tom, an 8 1/2-inch x 10-inch tom, a 9-inch x 8-inch tom, and a 6-inch x 14-inch snare drum, which is stamped with "23 Jan 1988" to the inner shell. The drums were painted by the artists Michael V. Rios and Anthony Machado. Rios' art was also featured on various Santana posters, backdrops, and album covers. The kit was notably played by Michael Shrieve on the 1988 Santana tour.
