Description
Cream with black, dusty pink and brown plaid having bodice with boned front, scalloped pagoda sleeve, faux silk buttons over hook & eye closures, curved back seams, lined in cotton twill, slightly-trained, full pleated skirt lined in striped cotton. B-32, W-24, L-50-53. Together with a pair of embroidered cream cotton undersleeves and a note, "This is the wedding dress of Lucretia Norwood Darrow, born in Charlotte, Maine, Feb. 28, 1831. Second of child Isaiah and Mary Damon married to Robert L. B. Mahar, Dec. 2nd 1862." Signed, "Mabel Lucretia Damon Furlong". (Quarter-sized hole in shoulder, scattered tiny holes, some holes in lining, waistband torn, one button damaged, upper part of undersleeves have holes and tears, scattered spots) good.
