Item Details

Description

Hippocampus paperweight, 2 3/4 inches by 4 inches, a William McDonald design, cast in 1927 and covered with a fine frogskin glaze. Impressed with the Rookwood symbol, the date and shape 2796. No crazing with a single burst glaze bubble near the base. This hard-to-find fellow is also known as the Seahorse, and this one is a very nice example.
