Description
GERMAN PORCELAIN PLAQUES, LOT OF TWO, depicting Ruth after the painting by Charles Landelle (French, 1821-1908), and a young well-dressed woman. Each plaque with impressed "15" mark to back, Ruth plaque with "Landelle: Ruth" mark to back. Housed in old, possibly original carved wood frames. Late 19th/early 20th century. 2 5/8" x 3 1/4" plaque, 3 1/2" x 3" sight, 6" x 5" OA.
Plaques undamaged; frames with minor wear and a few small losses.
Provenance: From the Dot and Ted Anthony Estate, Saddle River, NJ.
