Description
WELLER ART POTTERY VASES, LOT OF THREE, each with polychrome floral decoration, comprising a cylindrical Aurelian example, an ovoid Louwelsa example, and a squat Louwelsa pitcher example with hexagonal form. Tallest example with partial impressed double-circle "AURELIAN / WELLER" mark, two other examples with impressed "LOUWELSA / WELLER" marks, each with additional impressed numerals. Late 19th/early 20th century. 3 1/8" to 8 1/8" H.
Aurelian example undamaged with minor overall crazing and scattered minor spotting; ovoid example undamaged except for a few scattered scratches; pitcher example with scattered wear and overall crazing, unglazed spot to one point as made.
Provenance: Ovoid example purchased at White Pillars Museum Auction, Zanesville, OH, 1978.
