France. 19th century. 2" D.
Virtually undamaged with an isolated short scratch to the side.
Literature: Parallels Hollister - The Encyclopedia of Glass Paperweights, color p. 10, fig. 58.
Catalogue Note: The ground is made up of three layers and colors of glass. Top ruby layer, middle opal/white, and a bottom pink/rose layer. This can bee seen when looking at the paperweight from the side.
