Includes two original drawings by renowned artists -- a Henry Miller abstract sketch pencil signed lower right and dated 11/57 (20" x 13") and a pen & ink drawing of a Native American Indian signed "Glen Eagle Speaker 10/28/76" (8" x 8¼"). Henry Valentine Miller (1891-1980) was an American writer and painter. His is a mixture of novel, autobiography, social criticism, philosophical reflection, and surrealist free association. His paintings, abstract watercolors and sketches were passed out freely to friends and comrades. Interestingly, the reverse side of his sketch has written an excerpt from his 1936 book "Black Spring." It reads, "and cracks the glue of the joints. the Brain-pan is like a hamburger steak in a steaming window." Glen EagleSpeaker (1927-1984) was a renowned Blackfoot artist, storyteller, and craftsman.
