Oil on canvas by artist Pang Jen (b. 1928) (a.k.a. Pong Zhen or Peng Jen) of a bright cityscape featuring a rickshaw in the rain. It is signed in the lower left hand corner, but the signature is faded. Painting is in its original frame which is marked as made in Mexico. Dimensions are: without the frame 31 1/2 inches tall X 25 inches wide. Artist Biography: Pang Jen was born in 1928 in Li-yang Kiang-su China. He attended the Soo-Chow Academy and studied oil painting. He also studied in studies in Hong Kong and Paris. His first sole-exhibition was sponsored by the U.S. State Department and was held in Hong Kong. In 1966 he became a citizen of the United States and moved to Florida where he is still residing today. Pang Jen has been in many exhibitions, including over forty sole exhibitions. His work is featured in prominent collections across the world, especially in the United States. Condition: It is in good overall condition with some age wear and minor cracking to the oil paint.
