Albert Vagh Weinmann (French, 1931 - 1983), circa 1966, oil on canvas painting titled, 'Place Furstenberg a Paris' depicting an iconic location in Paris's 6th arrondissement, which is located between Boulevard Saint-Germain and the left bank of the Seine. Artist Biography: Albert Vagh (French, 1931-1983) was born in Montreuil-sous-Bois and studied at Beaux-Arts in Paris. He settled in Aix-en-Provenance and opened his studio in the village of Ventabren in 1960 where he was known for combining the styles of the Impressionists and the Expressionists. Vagh's work is in several permanent collections including: Museum of Contemporary Art, Salon-de-Provenance; Calvet Museum, Avignon; Musee de Ciboure, Saint Jean de Luz. Vagh also participated in numerous group and solo exhibitions throughout France and Germany, which include being sent by the Cultural Services Department of France to Cologne in 1962 and West Berlin in 1963 to exhibit his works.
