Two wood framed color Victorian racing prints: I. ELIS AT DONCASTER, RIDDEN BY JOHN DAY, after an original oil on canvas, painted in 1836 by artist Abraham Cooper, depicting the 19th Century British racehorse Elis at Doncaster. The artist, Abraham Cooper RA (1787-1868), was an English equine portraiture and battle painter. II. RACEHORSE, JOCKEY AND TRAINER, after an original oil on canvas, probably by artist Abraham Cooper, depicting a racehorse being led by its trainer and shown to a standing jockey and mounted patrons.

John Barham Day (1793-1860) was a British jockey and trainer who rode the winners of 16 racing classics. Elis won the St Leger Stakes in 1836.
