Description
Arts & crafts, punched copper body form with opaque glass shade and brass hanging frame. Interior wall mount frame marked "790." Circa 1910. The consigner obtained the lantern from an electrician who salvaged the light after it was supposed to be discarded from the Harrisburg Academy on Front Street, which is one of several locations before it moved to the West Shore in 1959. This lantern was restored in 1996, rewired, glass intact, good working condition. Piece is 19 inches tall, about 7.5 inch diameter and brass frame extends just over 3 inches from the glass.
