Description
A QING DYNASTY STYLE BLUE AND WHITE PORCELAIN CYLINDER BRUSH POT, CHINESE REPUBLIC PERIOD (1912-1949), CIRCA 1916, the outwardly flared rim painted in under glaze blue with fruit bunches and flowers, over a tall body with profuse lotus blooms and scrolling tendrils, centering a reserve with a portrait of an imperial ancestral figure accepting offerings of meat and tablets from a petitioner within a landscape of rocks and pine trees, verso a four character, blue under glaze, Kangxi Nian Zhi style mark. Height: 14 1/8" Width: 5 1/2"
Condition
Some kiln bursts, mild surface wear, occasional soil, but overall in very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
