A SET OF ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-FOUR PIECES OF REED & BARTON STERLING SILVER FLATWARE IN THE "FRANCIS I" PATTERN, TAUNTON, MASSACHUSETTS, DESIGNED 1907, the multi-motif service designed by Ernest Meyers, verso monogrammed "C," comprising twelve ice cream forks, twelve luncheon forks, twelve dinner forks, eleven dessert/oval soup spoons, sixteen teaspoons, twelve round bowl soup spoons, thirteen demitasse spoons, twelve solid flat butter spreaders, twelve dinner knives with Old French style stainless steel blades, and twelve luncheon knives with Old French style stainless steel blades, marked (eagle), "R," (lion passant), "STERLING, PAT. JUNE 25 1907" (exceptions listed in condition report), the knives without patent date, stamped "STERLING HANDLE," and the stainless steel blades etched "MIRRORSTELE, STAINLESS," total approximate silver weight: 147.655 troy ounces. Provenance: Received as a wedding present by consignor's parents in 1920.

In overall good gently used condition, with minor surface scratching and rubbing commensurate with age and use. One ice cream fork with post 1950 marks and unmonogrammed. Eight teaspoons with post 1950 mark and unmonogrammed, also with additional "H" stamp for heavy weight.
