after PIERRE GOUTHIÈR (French 1732-1813) A PAIR OF LOUIS XVI STYLE GILT BRONZE WHITE MARBLE CASSOLETTE athénienne CANDLESTICKS, MID/LATE 19TH CENTURY, the fruiting acanthus bloom finials, over bell form lids, reversing to a single candle cup, over tapered urns, mounted with three ram's head masks, issuing ribbons and cabriole legs, terminating in cloven feet, raised on a bead trim mounted, circular plinth, marked "BD" and number "528" throughout. Height: 9 1/2" Diameter: 3 1/2"
Condition
Some darkened and greenish patina, surface wear, mild occasional chips off marble, wax residue within candle cups, but overall in good to very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
