Pair of Exceptional French Bronze Dore et Patine Candelabra
first quarter 19th century, possibly by Pierre-Philippe Thomire (French, 1751-1843), each with a central kylix-form candle cup and four rhyton-form candle branches molded with masques of Zeus and decorated with leaf-molded medallions, supported on a bronze patine caryatid perched on a star-decorated dome above a cylindrical base, flanked by Napoleonic eagles and anthemion mounts, the square bases decorated on the facades with mounts of Psyche and Cupid, the sides with masque-decorated sunbursts, flanked by cornucopia.

Condition
Overall, very good condition.
Exquisite, crisp detail throughout.
Gilt surfaces with typical very scattered oxidation consistent with age.
One example lacking two stars on the dome, the other with one half star on the rear dome.
