Description
A QUEEN ANNE (1702-1727) PERIOD INLAID BLACK WALNUT CHEST ON CHEST TALLBOY, ENGLISH, CIRCA 1710, the molded crown, over a cavetto carved frieze, above a central drawer, flanked by two short drawers, over three graduating long drawers, on a surmount composed of three graduating long drawers, each drawer front with herringbone string inlay, raised on ogee feet. Height: 67" Width: 42 1/4" Depth: 22" NOTE: Secondary wood oak.
Condition
Some cracks on the veneer throughout, mild bubbling of veneer, some losses of molding, surface wear, minor losses, some apparent repairs/restoration on interior, replaced mounts, later bracket feet, but overall in good to very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
