Chinese 19 Century Cloisonne & Gilt Bronze Round Box and cover with a design of birds and flowers on a black ground surrounded by vines on turquoise; together with an Early 20 Century Cloisonne & Bronze Censer with edges, handles, and feet shaped like bamboo in bronze, the base with crossed Republican Flags in cloisonne, the sides with flowers on dark blue ground. Four small chips to turquoise interior of round box with very small enamel loss in cloisonne; censer with very small enamel loss to side, the flag's enamel partially removed (under Communism?). Diameter of Box 5 inches (12.7 cm.). Height of censer 2 5/8 inches (6.6 cm.) X width handle to handle 4 1/2 inches (11.5 cm.).
