Pair Large Blue Enameled 'Dragon' Meiping Vases. Each well-potted with tapering body rising from a recessed base to broad rounded shoulders and a narrow short waisted neck, the exterior carved in relief of a writhing three-clawed scaly dragon above jagged rocks, covered overall in a vitreous deep blue glaze thinning at the contours of the carving, the base with slightly countersunk center left unglazed to reveal the porcellanous body, 18.3 inch high.
