This is a 1950s lap steel string guitar manufactured by Oahu Publishing Co. based in Ohio and has the serial no. X 55867. It has a solid wood body with unique sunburst finish, white trim, gold glittering tuning keys and chrome hardware such as the Stringtone tailpiece by Rowe Industries. On the back of the guitar is a gold plaque with a long inscription which starts as follows "Presented To Sonny Rhodes..." Includes dust cover, finger picks and two acrylic ebony fretboards, one reading "Sonny Rhodes." Wear is evident throughout. With brown case. Guitar, 34"T x 9-1/2"W.
