Vintage 1949 Fender Lap Steel Guitar. SERIAL NUMBER: 0058. POT CODE: 304948 WEIGHT: 6lbs 2ozs (2kg/780g) This is a nice piece of Fender history. The lap steel has been taken care of well and has a very early serial number. The nitrocellulose finish has checked so much the finish has been peeling off the wood. It has been plugged in and sounds great, no ground buzzing at all. Look at the hand tooled routing in the tuner, pickup and electronics cavities. The original case is included although the Bakelite handle is broken, the plush brown interior is in great shape. Latches work however it is no longer spring loaded and sticks a bit to latch onto the housing. Excellent item for anyones vintage Fender Collection. Made in Fullerton, CA USA. Case measures approx. 30in x 7.75in x 3.5in overall. Would make a great addition to any shop, collection or home.
