Description

Origin: Portugal, late 19th century
Length 98 cm. blade 84,9 cm x 3 cm.
Blade: straight single edged blade with a false edge (circa 22 cm.). the blade is covered with chrome. On the back of the blade inscription â€œB. C. de Guardias de la Persona del REY * R. fabrika de Toledo Ano di 1888â€
Hilt: brass guard, connected to lionâ€™s head pommel, which is formed from one piece with the back. An oval with Portuguese coat of arms on the guard. Small openwork folding side plate. The grip is covered with ray skin and wrapped with twisted brass wire.
Scabbard: iron scabbard with two decorated brass fittings and two suspension rings.
Condition report: the blade in very good condition, just insignificant traces of corrosion. Brass parts of the hilt with natural patina, denser in indentations, with some scratches and dents. Gripâ€™s skin in good condition, with amount of wear according to an age. Scabbard covered with dark natural patina, with some scratches and dents. Brass fittings with some scratches.
