Jerry Smith was a camera collector (specializing in early Kodaks) and active for years in the Midwest Camera Historic Society of St. Louis. Jerry had attended the University of Missouri, and was editor of the campus humor magazine Showme a couple years after Mort Walker, creator of Beatle Bailey, was editor.
