Item Details
Description
Jerry Smith was a camera collector (specializing in early Kodaks) and active for years in the Midwest Camera Historic Society of St. Louis. Jerry had attended the University of Missouri, and was editor of the campus humor magazine Showme a couple years after Mort Walker, creator of Beatle Bailey, was editor. While working in ad agencies in St. Louis, Jerry became interested in photography, cameras and collecting. A skilled ship model maker, Jerry also worked on restoring wood cameras. He did a number of jobs for the esteemed collector, Jack Naylor. Jerry made this scale model of Daguerre's camera in the 1970s.

Dimensions are 7 x 5 inches base and 4¼ inches high. The box itself is 4 x 5 x 4¼ inches.
