Very pretty pale bisque socket head, unmarked, with cobalt glass eyes, well-painted upper and lower lashes, multi-stroke eyebrows, a closed smiling mouth, pierced in earlobes, double chin, and blushed cheeks. The head swivels on a separate bisque shoulder plate with high collar molding, typical but realistically rendered. All mounted on a nice leather body with gusset joints at elbows, hips and knees, with individually stitched fingers. Wearing an antique light brown human hair wig over cork pate. Although very French-looking and of the same quality as a French doll, there are characteristic that make it almost certain to be German. She wears a copper and rust red pleated taffeta skirt with big velvet ribbon sash and bow, lace trim at collar and sleeves, and antique leather and canvas high shoes with heels.
