Very attractive 26†doll with head stamped in back in red “Depose Tete Jumeau 12â€, having large brown paperweight eyes, finely painted lashes and brows, pierced earlobes, with head attached by a coil spring to the original French fully articulated wood and composition body bearing a square paper label on the back of the torso reading “Jumeau Medaille D’Or Parisâ€. Overall finish is very good with almost all original patina, perhaps with a minute amount of retouch on a few fingers. She wears a long antique brown human hair wig in long curls, magenta crushed velvet dress with fine lace trim, and a maroon taffeta waist band/sash, antique French leather shoes unmarked, and an antique slip but is without knickers.
