Description
Stoutly potted with wide rounded shoulders rising from a slightly flaring foot to a short neck with a everted gallery mouth rim, the shoulder molded with a pair lion masks with bulging eyes and upright ears, the body lively painted in a mottled golden russet color with a pair striding qilins amidst meandering lotus scroll, all between a band of lotus panels around the shoulder and the foot, the base unglazed revealing the off-white stoneware burnt slightly orange in the firing, 14.5" high, with wood stand.
