THREE PRE-COLUMBIAN POTTERY VESSELS - This lot of artifacts from Mexico and Central America features an impressive red-slipped bowl with orange & white painted sun imagery 9 1/2” diameter (has repairs to about 5” along rim, some expected wear to paint); a pedestal bowl with black 3 1/4” H x 5 3/4” diameter (some chips along rim); and a large bowl with incised geometric shapes on rim 10 1/2” diameter (has a hole in center of bowl, root marks are present). Provenance: These artifacts are from the estate of South Florida collector J. J. Schmidt Jr. and were acquired before 1970. [Lot 456]
