Description
A pair of ancient unguent bottles. The first is a Greek spindle bottle, c. 3rd - 1st Century BC, with the upper portion of the vessel dipping into black glaze, H: 6 1/8 in (15.5 cm). The second vessel is a cute Roman orange-ware bottle, c. 1st - 2nd Century AD, with ovoid body, narrow foot and constricted neck with collared rim, H: 4 1/8 in (10.5 cm). Both with light deposits and nice examples! Ex Orange County private collection.
