Description
1907 1st ed Mark TWAIN Horse’s Tale + 1909 Captain Stormfield Visit to Heaven
“A lie can travel half way around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.”
― Mark Twain
Two rare first edition works by Mark Twain!
‘A Horse's Tale’ (1907) is a novel by Mark Twain, written partially in the voice of Soldier Boy who is Buffalo Bill's favorite horse, at a fictional frontier outpost with the U.S. 7th Cavalry.
‘Captain Stormfield's Visit to Heaven’ (1909), the last of Twain’s books published during his lifetime, was printed in the same red cloth that Harper used for many of Twain’s works. This book is Mark Twain’s vision of Heaven and the journey in which is required to get there. Even though this book undermines most Christian views of salvation, it still maintained a popular read. According to BAL, the size of the first printing is unknown.
