Description
**First Time At Auction**
Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A lovely gathering of ten Roman arrowheads, nine formed from cast-bronze, and the last from iron. Seven arrowheads, all bronze, have a three-bladed design, with petite points projecting from the bottom of each edge. A pair of bronze arrowheads have bi-facial designs, each with two slender blade edges. Last is an iron arrowhead with a diamond-shaped profile and a lengthy attachment tang. A great collection! Size of largest (iron): 2.3" L (5.8 cm).
Provenance: ex-estate of John Piscopo, San Diego, California, USA. Mr. Piscopo was one of the largest collectors of ancient weapons in the US with a collection that spanned all cultures, all ages.

Condition
Iron arrowhead has extensive oxidation and some chipping to surface. All arrowheads have age-commensurate surface wear, small nicks to blade edges, and some discoloration, otherwise very good. Bronze arrowheads have nice green patina and light earthen deposits throughout.
