AMERICAN NEEDLEWORK SAMPLER, silk on linen, five alphabet and numeral rows above "Mary Ann Horton Aged 9 / 1835", three potted flowers across bottom, all within a simple chain border. Housed under glass in a later frame. 10 3/4" x 10 1/4" sight, 13 1/4" x 12 3/4" OA.
Very good overall condition with some scattered losses to stitching. Not examined out of frame.
