Description
ASSORTED MAJOLICA CERAMIC ARTICLES, LOT OF SIX, each having molded form and polychrome decoration, comprising two corncob-shaped pitchers in various sizes, one pitcher with shell design, one pitcher with foliate motifs, and one creamer and covered sugar set. One pitcher with impressed mark of "ENGLAND", creamer with impressed marks of "ETRUSCAN / MAJOLICA" and "E17", sugar with illegible impressed mark, otherwise unmarked. Fourth quarter 19th century. Tallest pitcher 7 5/8" HOA.
One pitcher with moderate discoloration and scattered flakes on rim and foot rim; one pitcher with one 1 3/4" hairline, few small chips on rim and top of handle, and one 1/4" chip on outer foot rim; one pitcher with small flakes on rim and one 1/2" hairline; one pitcher with radial hairline at base of handle; creamer with scattered small chips and hairlines along rim, its handle has broken off but is included; sugar with few chips and hairlines along rim, cover with one 2" chip and flaking on bottom rim, one 1/2" chip on the underside of one corner.
