ENGLISH TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC CHILDREN'S ARTICLES, LOT OF FOUR, comprising one mug with outdoor scene on yellow ground of "GOING TO SCHOOL", one plate with central image of "OUR EARLY DAYS / KEEPING SCHOOL", one plate with design of "OUR EARLY DAYS / NOW I'M GRANDFATHER", and one plate of "LECTURE - READING", each plate having molded patterned border. One plate with impressed mark on base, otherwise unmarked. Staffordshire and possibly other areas. Second quarter/second half 19th century. Mug 2 1/8" H.
Mug with small flakes on outer rim and outer foot rim; one plate with repaired 3/4" chip along rim; one plate with scattered minor flakes on rim; one plate with moderate discoloration, few small flakes and short hairlines along rim.
