ENGLISH TRANSFER-PRINTED CERAMIC ARTICLES, LOT OF FOUR, comprising a pink/red transfer example featuring "FISHERMAN.", as printed to underside, and three examples with blue transfer decorations including a 7 5/8" D plate featuring "SCALEBY / CASTLE / CUMBERLAND", an ovoid-form platter depicting European ruins featuring figures with cattle in foreground purportedly from a Claude Lorraine picture, and a Maling ware 1929 "NORTH-EAST COAST / INDUSTRIES EXHIBITION" hexagonal biscuit jar featuring various bridge images and "ST. NICHOLAS' CATHEDRAL". Marks to underside include impressed eagle with "ADAMS / WARRANTED STAFFORDSHIRE", "WOOD", and "B. ADAMS". William Adams III & Sons, Stoke-on-Trent; Benjamin Adams, Greengates, Tunstall; Enoch Wood & Sons, Burslem, England. 19th to first half 20th century. 20 7/8" x 15 1/8".

Condition
Three undamaged, except Scaleby Castle with two scratches to front; platter rim with restoration to a chip and a hairline that is primarily visible to underside.
