Description
A gilt silver ewer inset with 2 white jade ruyi plaques and 2 carvings, all dating from the 18th to 19th centuries. The ewer is inlaid with turquoise and coral and has a handle shaped like a dragon hook and a ruyi border at the foot. The white jade connecting the spout and the neck features a bat with a lucky coin and 2 peaches, while the lid has a jade carving of a mandarin duck with a lotus for a finial. The ruyi plaques are carved with 7 mythological figures in a landscape on 1 and a Shou character with auspicious symbols on the other. The ewer has a wooden stand.
Dimensions are: 15 1/2 inches tall X 11 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Some of the gilt is worn, it is in overall good condition with age appropriate wear.
