Description
A Chinese doucai porcelain dish with a 6-character Chenghua mark on the bottom and dating from the 18th century. The exterior has 4 blue and green bamboo motifs, while the interior features bamboo and a cherry tree.
Dimensions are: 1 1/8 inches tall X 4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: It is in good condition with 2 small firing defects and a firing crack on the bottom original to the piece's creation.
Provenance: From a Northwest U.S. collector. Her parents accumulated the collection while living in Shanghai from the 1930s to 1950s and in Hong Kong and Taiwan in the 1950s and 1960s.
