Provenance: Gifted by Frank Sinatra to Murray Gennis 1988, thence by descent to present owner. Murray Gennis served as Senior Vice-President of Caesar's Palace Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada throughout the 1970's and 1980's. Catering primarily to the high rollers, Mr. Gennis was the face of Caesar's Palace to the elite of Las Vegas, including performers, sports stars, and other celebrities. During their decades-long friendship, Frank Sinatra gifted a number of his original paintings, and other memorabilia to Murray Gennis and his family. Notes: Frank Sinatra was a legendary entertainer and an icon of 20th century culture. Sinatra was also an avid painter, thru out his career, experimenting in a variety of styles. Sinatra’s paintings were a prized gift, for his friends and associates. Frank Sinatra paintings are highly collectible today, and his painting “Fourth of July Fireworks†gifted to Nancy Reagan sold for $223,500 at Chrstie’s New York, in 2016.
