This lot consists of a HAND DRAWN mixed media illustration mounted on paper, hand-signed "Jean Corteau". Image depicts a man with piercing blue eyes, a gaunt face, and a full head of swirling hair. Very well could be a self-portrait. Hand-written, largely illegible words on the left side of the page appear to be written in French. The gaze of this elegant young man permeates the entire image in a truly striking way. Done in the style of the artist and poet Jean Corteau (French, 1889 -1963). Piece measures approximately 13.5" x 17.5".
