Description
Greece, Magna Graecia, southern Italy, Apulia, ca. 340 to 325 BCE. A petite pottery oil vessel of a graceful form comprised of a bulbous body, narrow neck, flared rim, and a strap handle joining neck to shoulder - all on a raised ring base. The walls have a beautiful decorative band of painted around the shoulder, and the lovely black glaze now exudes an iridescent patina. Size: 2.25" W x 4.45" H (5.7 cm x 11.3 cm)
