**First Time At Auction**

Roman, Imperial Period, ca. 1st to 3rd century CE. A bronze component of a percussive musical instrument, composed of two convex discs held in place by a bronze rivet that goes through the center of each and attaches to a curved bronze clip. The patina on this piece is just incredible, the product of deposition in water. Size: 3.35" W x 1.75" H (8.5 cm x 4.4 cm)

Condition
Gorgeous sky blue mottled patina on most of the piece, with pale green patina on the clip. Piece is clearly a fragment, with marks on its convex side where it was attached to something else.
