Description
Pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty porcelain hexagonal amphora vases covered in indigo Ji blue detail. Hexagonal shaped bulbous body leading to a slim waisted neck with a slightly everted rim. Floral designs seen across the flat surfaces of the body with large stylized flowers seen on the flat surfaces on the neck. Blue formal trim details running across the top of the shoulder and bottom of the rim with two cylindrical handles found at the center of the waisted neck. Both sitting atop dark hardwood bases with four carved legs and carved detail seen within the wood. Qianlong six characters reign mark, Qing Dynasty.

Glen Cove New York is on the North Shore of Long Island and was the summer resort of the rich and famous. In the early 1900s Property was owned by F.W. Woolworth, J.P Morgan, John Platt and John D. Rockefeller. Many of the estates have been sold and are now operated as resorts. The Mansions of Glen Cove The Webb Institute was used as educational facilities and even the Soviet Union has purchased property for retreats for visiting dignitaries.
The Collections of Mr. John Platts presented and offered up to auctions from Lot-172 through Lot-182, and continued from Lot-184 Through Lot-209.
