Condition
Previously cleaned and relined; retained original stretcher bars; craquelure pattern visible and signs of
inpainting mid/lower left (the background along his sleeve); lower right (table) and lower center (dark cuff
of jacket); smaller areas of inpainting lower left (jacket); lower center (pants by watch fob); upper right
(hair) and lower/mid-right (vase).
Frame with surface marks, nicks and abrasions; cracks in corners, small losses along edges and in corners;
signs of past restorations.
