MID-ATLANTIC CROSSED TULIP PIECED AND APPLIQUE QUILT, hand-stitched, 20 patterned blocks, spaced six-point stars throughout center and along inner border, swag-and-bow knot border, oak leaf and petal quilting, turned-under appliqué, applied binding, three-paneled backing, all cotton. Circa 1870. 83 3/4" x 99 3/4".
Very good overall condition, top with small holes and deterioration limited to one red printed fabric pattern, otherwise a few scattered small spots, backing with few scattered light stains and light discoloration to fold lines.
