GREINER-TYPE PAPIER-MACHE DOLL, shoulder head with molded and painted features and hair, cloth body, leather shoes, older clothes. Mid 19th century. 18 1/2" H.
Good overall condition, some restoration to shoulder area, hair likely repainted.

Descended in the family of Virginia Hall (1844-1902), Anne Arundel Co., MD.
Catalogue Note: This doll originally belonged to Virginia Hall, daughter of Rachel Waters Hall (1806-1877), the maker of the sampler in the preceding lot.
