Description
A pair of Roman glass vessels, 3rd - 4th Century AD, the first is a pale-yellow glass bottle, the body slightly ovoid with indented bottom, the neck is short with widely flared mouth and inward folded rim. H: 4 3/4 in (12.2 cm). Well-preserved with attractive mottled surface deposits and flashes of iridescence. The second is a pale green glass goblet, the piriform body with indented base and widely flared mouth with inward folded rim, a delicate tug handle as made on one side. H: 3 in (7.6 cm). Deep midnight iridescence. Ex Superior Stamp & Coin, acquired mid-1980's.
