Description
A Roman marble architectural fragment with floral motif, c. 1st - 3rd Century AD, acquired in 1932. It features parts of scrolling acanthus leaves. Noted on bottom from 'T Saturn' believed to indicate the find spot as the Temple of Saturn in Rome. 9 3/4 x 4 1/4 in (24.8 x 10.8 cm). Light deposits. Ex Southern California private collection.
