Provenance: Sotheby’s, London, Cobham Hall, July 22nd 1957, ensuite with lots 388 & 389 in that sale. These pedestals were paired with two Roman busts by John Bligh, 4th Earl of Darnley (1767–1831), Cobham Hall.
