Description
East Asia, China, Han Dynasty, ca. 206 BCE to 220 CE. A charming mold made figure of a seated man in a remarkably lifelike pose. One leg is folded underneath his body, the other knee raised, with one elbow leaning against it, and the other hand resting in his lap. His face is expressive, with a fulsome beard, thick hair, and downcast eyes. His simple clothing and helmet, along with his pose, suggest an exhausted soldier. Size: 2.75" W x 4" H (7 cm x 10.2 cm)
