Circa 1947, rare lithograph, pencil signed "Rockwell Kent" on lower right and "Wake Up America" on the left, Kent wrote that this lithograph "Wake Up America" was intended to call attention to the decay of the structure of democracy that threatens while the citizen sleeps, the initials inscribed on the post behind the sleeping allegory of the American man are those of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, very good condition, 14" x 10" sight, 20" x 16" with frame Provenance: letter from Ellen Pearce, grand daughter of Rockwell Kent, authenticating letter accompanies this lot
