Comprised of The Illustrated Hand-book, A New Guide for Travelers through the United States of America, John Calvin Smith (New York: Sherman & Smith, 1848; 234 pp.; front board nearly detached, dampstained, ownership signature on FFEP, binding split but holding, lacking fold out map); and The Great Lakes, or Inland Seas of America, John Disturnell (Philadelphia: W.B. Zieber, 1871; 256 pp. + ads; boards worn and chipped, stamp on front pastedown, lacking foldout map). Both illustrated with several engravings, frontispieces under tissue. 16mos. Fair to good condition.
